Project Overview

One Liner: Architecting a cloud-native CI/CD pipeline to automate secure software delivery across 1,500+ applications

Abstract

CSL Biotech, a global biotechnology company serving patients in more than 100 countries, manages a large application portfolio without a unified CI/CD standard. The Nexus Project addresses that gap by delivering a reusable GitLab-to-AWS CI/CD pipeline template designed for secure, standardized software delivery across 1,500+ applications. Our team studied enterprise DevOps practices analyzed CSL workflow gaps, and implemented a four-stage pipeline covering pre-commit validation, secure build and artifact creation, QA/staging verification, and controlled production release. The solution emphasizes developer experience, security, deployment speed, and reuse across teams with different levels of DevOps maturity. Final deliverables include a working proof-of-concept pipeline, AWS deployment architecture, technical documentation, and a practical roadmap for broader enterprise adoption.
