Project Overview

One Liner: Tackling Plagiarism Dectection at Drexel!

Abstract

Inspiration is a senior project dedicated to developing an exclusive solution for detecting plagiarism in computer science assignments within the Drexel University community. In response to the limitations and occasional unreliability of existing tools like Moss, our project focuses on creating a robust and efficient plagiarism detection system tailored specifically for the Drexel CCI Network. By parsing programming files in various languages and comparing them against both a historical submission pool and other submissions in the same file, the system will intelligently identify similarities and mark files for review. It is important to note that while our tool will aid in identifying potential instances of plagiarism, it is not designed to serve as the sole authority on plagiarism detection, but rather as a supplementary tool for instructors and reviewers.
