Project Overview

One Liner: GeoLocation is a mobile app designed to support individuals with memory impairments by using real-time geographic data to trigger personalized, location-based reminders.

Abstract

GeoLocation leverages the GPS functionality of a user’s smartphone to recognize when the individual arrives at or leaves specific locations—such as home, a pharmacy, or a caregiver’s residence—and delivers contextual prompts tailored to those environments. These reminders may include taking medications, completing daily tasks, or checking in with loved ones. By integrating spatial awareness with personalized care routines, GeoLocation aims to foster greater independence, improve adherence to treatment plans, and provide peace of mind for both users and their caregivers.
