A Brewer Side Data Visualization Tool and Consumer Side Review Application
A Free-Source Data Visualization tool for Breweries to better understand their marketing and batch quality towards beer enthusiasts. As well as a beer review mobile application for consumers
Untappd is a web and mobile application that allows users to review beer as a way to create a conversation between consumers on what are the good beers and breweries. Breweries use this application to gain insight on how their beer is doing in the market. They gain insights such as a comparison of your check-ins (unique user submitting a review) versus the general market, you can see the demographic of the users reviewing the beer. You can see at what venues the user is drinking their beer (restaurant, pub, concert, etc.). The major downside is that it costs roughly 1 thousand dollars to gain these insights, which is a single PDF file of the data, as well as the fact that the brewers do not receive enough data or functionality to get the most out of the data Untappd generates. Drafted is an attempt to create a free-source beer reviewing application that prioritizes the brewers needs. This will enable breweries to get real-time data analytics of their beer in the market as well as introducing more functionality like a recipe book and batch logger. Consumer side users would have a mobile application with the capability to review beer and brewers and upload the data for the brewer to see. The brewer side users would have a website where they can conduct version control, data analysis, and recipe logging.
