One Liner: Use computer vision to identify athletes in a competition
Abstract
Race footage for judge evaluations of a competitive race walk is typically shot from the side. This complicates face recognition. However, athletes have a bib number, name, and uniform that can all help an algorithm determine the identity of an athlete. Develop a system to automatically identify competitions and list the time code of when they appear in a video.
