GrantIQ: Grant Research & Opportunity Intelligence Exploration

EMSDC and the World Trade Center of Greater Philadelphia seek student collaboration to
explore the development of a grant research and opportunity intelligence platform
designed to help organizations more efficiently identify, organize, evaluate, and prioritize
funding opportunities.
Organizations operating in areas such as supply chain development, business growth,
economic development, workforce development, procurement connectivity, and
international trade often rely heavily on grants, sponsorships, and external funding to
support programs and initiatives. However, the grant research process is frequently time-
consuming, fragmented, and difficult to manage due to the large volume of information
spread across federal, state, local, foundation, and private funding sources.
This project would explore practical ways technology, structured data, and lightweight AI-
assisted workflows could help simplify and improve how organizations search for and
evaluate funding opportunities.
