One Liner: Universal trading card database created by scraping trading cards from all over the internet
Abstract
The Universal Trading Card Database project is a collection of trading card data and images from different websites compiled into one universal database to make a central trading card checklist. Different types of cards including but not limited to sports, Magic the Gather, and Superhero trading cards are all housed under one singular schema that allows for easy data lookup and analysis. The data was collected using web scrapers on multiple websites to download the card data to a PostgreSQL database and the images to an S3 bucket hosted on AWS. The data can be visualized and analyzed using PowerBI.
