Tournament Management Made Manageable

Abstract:

Fencing tournaments, even when using software, remain heavily reliant on paper-based systems. This leads to inefficiencies and errors that can delay tournaments by hours. By digitizing the entire tournament workflow from registration through elimination rounds, TournaFence reduces administrative overhead and improves the accessibility of tournament information for all participants, significantly enhancing the competition experience.

Description:

TournaFence is a comprehensive fencing tournament management system that modernizes the traditionally paper-based process. It enables organizers to create tournaments, register competitors, generate pools with automatic seeding, create elimination brackets, and track real-time results. Referees benefit from digital scorekeeping with physical equipment integration, penalty tracking, and time management. Competitors and spectators gain access to real-time schedules, bout orders, and live updated brackets. The system works entirely on local networks without requiring internet connectivity, making it reliable in any venue while offering sophisticated management features that reduce administrative burden and human error. TournaFence is flexible enough to support formats for both local and national-level events, transforming tournament operations into a cohesive digital experience that improves efficiency, accuracy, and the overall competition experience.
